Radiographic test using X-Ray and γ-Ray has been the primary activity of Tecnocontrol since its birth in 1992.
For over 25 years, we have used directional and panoramic portable RX equipment, sources of Iridium (Ir192), Selenium (SE75) and occasionally Cobalt (CO60) for checks on the vast majority of welds that can be encountered in the construction of pressure vessels , piping, metal structures of various configurations, bridge cranes, ships, bridges, thermoelectric plants, castings, etc.
We have always used the technique with radiographic film and manual development of films or with automatic developers.
For some years we have stopped using the Gamma sources, also reducing the interventions with X-Ray at third parties, to focus more to advanced techniques with registered ultrasound.
However, we still have several portable X-Ray devices with which we are able to perform radiographic checks in various circumstances, subject to the necessary assessments, inspections, preliminary reports, etc. of the case.

The maximum thickness that we can control with acceptable radiographic quality is about 70 mm of steel
The staff is certified ISO 9712 or SNT-TC-1A liv.2 and liv.3
Tecnocontrol, of course, is provided with all the authorizations necessary to perform radiographic checks in compliance with legal obligations, which can be documented at the request of the client.
