The imposing C-shaped structure to follow the curve that connects Jaffa Road to Herzi Boulevard is supported by 66 steel cables anchored to a single 118 meters high inclined pylon that rises in the middle of the C.<\/p>\n
The welds, which connect the inclined pylon to the horizontal base structure, whose thickness varies from 150 mm to 200 mm, obviously have a significant importance in the context of the structure.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]In March and April 2008 Tecnocontrol on behalf of the company CIMOLAI S.p.A. performed the Ultrasonic Test of these important welds during their realization by the local specialized personnel.<\/p>\n
The control, previously planned and approved by IIS (Italian Institute of Welding \u2013 Genova Italy), was performed using conventional manual ultrasound techniques and with advanced TOFD ultrasonic technique.<\/p>\n
